Denver Conference

What did you think of the Denver Conference? What were, in your opinion, some of the highlights of our "family reunion"? Is there anyhting you would have done different?

It was one of the best I've ever been to. Congrats to the conference committee. Was great to see again many that I consider my 2nd family. Those who didn't go missed out on a great conference.

During the Sunday devotional, some of the hymns referred to God as "he." We need to correct this sexism in Affirmation, especially since we Mormons believe that God is both our Father AND our Mother.

The conferences are always worth attending. I see old friends, and make new friends. I laugh or get misty-eyed about things that mean nothing to someone not familiar with the church. In short, it is an experience I don't have anywhere else all year. That is why I keep coming back.

I know y'all think I'm the "anonymous" who wrote the comment about God being "he." I didn't -- and yet I am in full agreement! I had a great time at this year's conference and always enjoy the time I spend with my Affirmation family.

Conference was great -- as always. The details of a conference are always unique the venue, and the planners involved -- and congratulations and appreciation go out to all those who helped shaped this year's conference. I tend not to look too critically at the specific parts of any conference -- I go mainly just to be among my fellow (of all genders) gay (and all persuasions) Mormon family. The specific workshops and speakers are just gravy. See you all again next year.
